What this site stores on your device

Two small values, in your browser’s local storage. They never leave your device and are not sent to us or to anyone else:

• Your chosen city (muhurat-city and its name), so that the site’s links take you to your own city’s timings rather than a generic page. It is saved when you pick a city or visit a city page, and cleared if that city’s page stops existing.
• A visit streak (muhurat-streak), the small “days” counter in the header, which counts consecutive days you have opened the site. It is a number and a date, nothing more.

You can clear both at any time by clearing site data for choghadiyanow.com in your browser. The site works the same without them; it just forgets your city.

What this site does not do

• No accounts. There is nothing to sign up for and no password to keep.
• No forms. Nothing you type is sent to a server; city search runs in your browser.
• No cookies of our own, and no analytics script. The site itself sets no cookies and does not fingerprint, profile or track you across sites. Fonts are served from this site, not from a third party.
• No location tracking. The site never asks for your location. The city you see is the one you chose, or the default.

Hosting

The site runs on Cloudflare. Like any web host, Cloudflare receives your IP address, browser type and the address of the page you requested in order to serve it, and keeps short-lived request logs for security and reliability. Cloudflare’s handling of that data is described in its own privacy policy. We do not use those logs to identify you.

Advertising

Choghadiya Now is supported by advertising and is built to show ads through Google AdSense. When ads are shown on a page:

• Google and its partners use cookies and similar technologies to serve ads, including ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites, and to measure them.
• You can opt out of personalised advertising in Google’s Ads Settings, and out of many third-party vendors’ cookies at aboutads.info.
• If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, you will be asked for consent before any advertising cookie is set, and can change your choice at any time from the link at the foot of every page.
• How Google uses data from sites that use its services is described at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.

Advertising never changes a time or a reading on this site.

Links to other sites

Pages here link to reference panchangs and to other sites for background. Those sites have their own policies; this one stops at the link.

Children

The site is a general-audience reference. It does not knowingly collect any information from anyone, of any age.

Changes to this policy

If the site starts doing something new with data, an analytics tool for instance, this page will say so before it happens, and the date at the top will change.
