Which tool do I need?
If you know your birth date, time and place, start with the rashi calculator: it gives your janma rashi, nakshatra, pada and lagna. If you only have a name, naam se rashi reads it against the traditional naming chart. For a marriage, gun milan scores the match out of 36 and checks Mangal dosha for both; for one person, the Mangal dosha calculator explains every rule.
How accurate are they?
The planet positions come from the engine behind this site’s panchang timings, checked against Swiss Ephemeris to within a few arcseconds. The gun milan tables, the Mangal dosha rules and the naming chart were each compared with a standard reference panchang, case by case, before any of them went live: 729 couples, 282 birth charts and all 108 syllables. Where a birth time sits within half an hour of a sign or nakshatra edge, the tools say so instead of hiding it.

Are the tools free?
Yes, all four, with no sign-up. The site is paid for by advertising. Nothing you enter is stored: the calculations run in your browser, and only the name of a birth place you pick is sent to our server to look up its coordinates and time zone.
Which ayanamsa do the tools use?
Lahiri (Chitrapaksha), the one the Indian Calendar Reform Committee fixed in 1956 and nearly every Indian panchang uses. It is the same in all four tools, so the rashi the rashi calculator gives is the one gun milan matches with.
Why do the tools need my birth place?
The place sets the time zone in force on your birth date, including old rules such as India’s war time of 1942 to 1945, and the horizon the lagna rises on. Births anywhere in the world work: the list has 11,800 places, 6,400 of them in India.
